Boy Scouts

Who We Are

Boy Scouts The Boy Scouts in Rush, New York, are part of the Otetiana Council which serves all of Monroe County. The Council privides three levels of scouting: Cub Scouts for boys in first grade through fifth grade (or 6 through 10 years of age); Boy Scouts for boys who have earned the Arrow of Light Award and are at least 10 years old, or have completed the fifth grade and are at least 10 years old, or who are 11, but not yet 18 years old; and Venture Scouts for young men and women who are 14 (and have completed the eighth grade) through 20 years of age.

 

Properties

The council owns and operates two excellent camp properties:

J. Warren Cutler Scout Reservation in the Bristol Hills, Naples, New York
Massawepie Scout Camps in the Adirondack Mountains, Tupper Lake, New York.

Both facilities offer a wide range of camping, hiking and outdoor opportunities, including miles of hiking trails, streams, ponds and lakes, open fields, rustic camp sites, sheltered camp sites, tent camping sites, cabins, and lodges with modern kitchens and restroom facilities.
