Who We Are

Girl Scouts The Girl Scouts in Rush, New York, are part of a larger council called Girl Scouts of Genesee Valley, Inc. The Mission of the Girl Scouts of Genesee Valley, Inc. is to inspire girls to become resourceful, responsible citizens who value themselves and others. The Girl Scouts of Genesee Valley, Inc. serves girls in Monroe, Genesee, Livingston, Orleans, and Wyoming Counties with over 11,000 girl members and 5,100 active adult volunteers.

In Rush, together with Henrietta, there are four Daisy troops for the kindergarten group, ninteen Brownie Troops serving grades 1-3, twenty-one Junior Troops grades 4-6, nine Cadette Girl Scout Troops serving girls in grades 7-9, and three Senior Troops sercing girls in grades 10-12. Overall, approximately 650 girls in the Rugh-Henrietta area are involved in Girl scouting.

Working with these nine troops are dedicated volunteers. Some volunteers serve as troop leaders, consultants, trainers, administrative volunteers and many other specialized areas.

Camp Pinewood in Arkport, New York
Annabelle Piper Program Center in West Henrietta, New York
GLOW Office, Batavia, New York
